ABC Home’s Beauty Wellness Wisdom Event, New York City - October 15, 2016

ABC Home's  'Beauty Wellness Wisdom' event series brings together people and brands passionate about health, indigenous culture, sustainability, eco-consciousness, and beauty.

The event on October 15, 2016 featured Goop Beauty Director Jean Godfrey-June & Cherry Bombe's Editorial Director Kerry Diamond, morning meditation with Deepak Chopra,  and a discussion about the health benefits of infared therapy with Jason Wachob of MindBodyGreen, Lauren Berlingeri & Katie Kaps founders of HigherDOSE.

Fern Olivia Langham founder of Thyroid Yoga + Ajai Alchemy spoke about giving your body what it needs to heal.  For a busy place like New York City, this could mean establishing a ritual of laying with rose crystal quartz around your body grounding meditative moments.

Stephanie Wang, founder of the herbal apothecary - The Alchemist's Kitchen in the Lower East Side gave a fascinating talk on plant journeying and shamanic plant work.  Herbal spiritual healing involves not just taking the herbs, but also setting an intention during the healing ritual.

In addition to talks and discussions by thought leaders of the wellness field, the afternoon was filled with wellness experiences from ABC Home's collection of curated apothecaries.  Guests were able to sign up for facials with Tracie Martyn, wild-crafted herbal elixirs with Moon Juice, juice tastings with Rawpothecary, sea salt based hair styling sessions with Captain Blankenship, beauty treatments with Goop Beauty, manicures with Jinsoon, and tarot readings with Moon Deck.

The Beauty Wellness Wisdom event happens twice a year at ABC Home, and it's our favorite gathering in NYC for discovering sustainable, spiritual, all-natural, and creative ways to heal, rejuvenate, and beautify yourself from the inside out.

2016 LuckyRice NY Moon Festival Cocktail Feast - The Bowery Hotel - September 16, 2016

This year's 7th annual LuckyRice NY Moon Festival Cocktail Feast celebrates the start of the annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at the Bowery Hotel in downtown New York City.

It was a fabulous night of delightfully creative cocktail concoctions, fun, and music with a vibrant and festive crowd.  Cocktails inspired by Asian dishes and ingredients were made with signature Bombay Sapphire East Gin and other top shelf libations.

This event made us think for a few hours that we were enjoying the night out in southeast Asia where drinks were inspired by local spices like lemongrass, cinnamon, kalamansi limes, kaffir lime, basil, and a cornucopia of tropical fruits and flavors.  Light dishes and desserts were also served to be paired with a well curated selection of cocktails.
