Some of the lineup and presenters this year included DJ Stretch Armstrong, Musician Meshell Ndegeocello, director Brendan Baker of Wolverine, Jaime Morton (of My Dad Wrote a Porno), Surface Magazine designer Simonetta Nieto, podcaster Debbie Millman of Design Matters, and curator Matthew Yokobosky of the David Bowie exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Miho Hatori, formerly of Cibbo Matto also performed prior to the opening day as well.
This event was an opportunity for podcasters, artists, designers, musicians, DJ, and others in the industry to get together and discuss their journeys, inspirations, and challenges of creating great work of impact on their audiences.
Makers of high end headphones and audio equipment Sennheiser also hosted a "Future of Audio" Suite to demo their portable podcasting headphones and amplifiers. If you're starting out on podcasting and are looking to make your episodes more 360 degree experiential from a sound standpoint, we highly recommend their Ambeo Smart Headset! You can record podcasts anywhere on the go and it does a great job of capturing any audio in the background you are looking to include.
Check out their site to get info on next year's event, which you don't want to miss if you have an audience to reach online through the audio medium.
