The weekly MoMA PS1 Warm Up summer dance party is quickly becoming a mini Coachella every Saturday, except it's much closer to home in Long Island City / Queens / New York City.
Warm Up is every Saturday from June 11 to August 27, from 3pm to 9pm (yes, it's a 6 hour concert, or mini music festival so go early!). Each show features at least 5 acts so you'll get to experience a wide variety of music genres. Tickets are only $22 if purchased in advanced and can be purchased here. If you are a Long Island City resident, tickets are free on a first come first serve basis.
The 2016 lineup includes live performances and D.J. sets by Joy Orbison + Ben UFO, Doc Scott, Maya Jane Coles, Marcus Marr, Louisahhh, Brodinski, and many international performers you'll find in music venues of Europe.
Warm Up also places music alongside great food and design, including a new courtyard installation, which is a colorful woven rope canopy created by Mexico City-based architecture firm Escobedo Soliz Studio, winner of the annual Young Architects Program.
Here are some of our pictures from the Louisahhh and Brodinski show this month.
